Grizzly Bears

Last week we learnt all about polar bears, where they live, what they eat and how they grow.  This week we are learning about grizzly or brown bears and talking about how they are similar and how they are different to polar bears.  We will let you know later in the week what we find out, but today we have been making pictures and models of them!

  1. Ooh we love finding out about animals it's our best thing :) Can you tell us more about the bears?
What do they eat? Where do they sleep? Where do they live?

We have been finding out about animals that live in cold places, and polar bears are our favourite so far. Did you know that polar bears sleep in snow holes and they are very fierce too!

  2. Hi Reception,

You've been very busy! I hope your grizzly bears don't come to life - that would be a bit scary.

There are no bears in Australia. We have koalas and everyone thinks they are a type of bear!

  3. We love the playdough polar bear it is amazing :)
Maddison says "I can see that you have tried very hard to do all your bears and I love them."
Maddison also said "Why don't we give Ellistown a smiley face to let them know we are proud of them."

So Reception Class here it is
