Describing Words

Why is the mud oozy? Why is the snow swirling? Well, we had a go at describing some of the places in the bear hunt.

We looked at some pictures and tried to think of words to describe what they might look like. Then we thought about what they might smell, feel and sound like.

We write our ideas on whiteboards.

Have a look at how we described the mud.

What words could you use to describe one of the other places? Maybe the snowstorm or the river?

  1. Wow wee great work boys and girls!

We would say the snowstorm is like:

    " Too cold"
    "Wintry"
    "Snowy"

    The river:

"So wet if you stay there you will get cold!"
    "horrible"
    "Colourful, red and yellow"
    "Beautiful and shining!"
