We came to school in our pyjamas today to have some breakfast. It was lots of fun eating breakfast with our friends :-)
Thank you to the mums and dads who came in their pyjamas too.

Funny bones

We have been having a spooky week! We've learnt about our skeletons, done a skeleton dance and made x rays of our hands looking carefully at how many bones are in each finger.

We have been learning how to add 2 groups of objects together by counting all of them. We learnt that   '+'  means add.

Can you add the objects together?

We have been practicing writing our names and letters today. We practiced in the sand with sticks, on the large whiteboards and in notebooks.
Practice writing your name at home.

Who's the tallest?

We have been learning the story 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears.'  This made us wonder who would be the right size to play the different characters in the role play area. We have been exploring different ways of finding out who is the tallest, who is the smallest and who is in between.

Harvest Time

We have been finding out about Harvest time, when farmers gather in their crops. We made apple crumble to celebrate the apple harvest and enjoyed tasting our hard work!
We also found out how different people celebrate harvest.  We read about the Jewish celebration Sukkot and went outside to build a Sukkah to eat our celebration harvest meal in.

A noise in the woods!

We heard a noise in the woods so we went to investigate using our senses. We used our eyes to find clues. We found a trail of porridge, some golden hair and a wooden spoon! Who could it have been?

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

We have been learning the story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. Look at our fantastic story maps!

I wonder ...

We had to try and guess what we thought was in the gloves by feeling them.
These are some of the things that we thought:
"Bird seed"
"Tiny beads"
Can you remember what was inside them?
